Gilgamesh vs. Leo Myths

Gilgamesh vs. Leo Myths

Andrea Chocano

Gilgamesh and Leo are powerful and brave. They could be considered heroes who fight and would do anything for the greater or maybe a few bad. The Epic tales of Gilgamesh is very strong and brave. Gilgamesh part god who survives through dangerous situations. Gilgamesh an early-time in history would be powerful and had no fears. Gilgamesh and the Leo goddess are very similar in their character traits and their story live but while they differ in Humbaba and Gilgamesh were Gilgamesh defeats Humbaba.

Gilgamesh was very strong and brave but was also very selfless, prideful, and “perfect in strength.” Gilgamesh was self-centered. In the book “The Epic tales of Gilgamesh” Gilgamesh says “I am the mightiest! I am the man who can make the world tremble. I am the supreme.” He is very prideful and selfish here he talks about how big of a man he is after having intercourse with a woman. The Leo goddess is also been said to be very selfish, strong, muscular. The connection between Gilgamesh and Leo the Goddess is that they are a goddess would think their strong and like things for themselves.

Another connection between Gilgamesh and Leo the Goddess is the feeling of loneliness. Both didn’t like feeling alone. In Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh has Enkidu as his best friend and he brings Enkidu to the Cedar Forest to fight the monster Humaba. In Gilgamesh, he says, “ Dear friend, dear brother I cannot kill Humbaba alone. Please stay here with me. Stand at my side.” Here Gilgamesh wants Enkidu to stay with him to fight the monster Humbaba. Gilgamesh calls Enkidu his friend, his brother. Gilgamesh grew love to Enkidu and got Enkidu’s attention. Leo the Goddess hates the feeling of loneliness because they love the attention. The Leo goddess would take women hostage and have them stay in the cave with the Leo goddess. This represents how he didn’t like to be alone thats why he would take women, hostage.

In Gilgamesh, Both also have differences, and it’s that the Leo goddess was killed by Heracles and the Leo goddess wouldn’t survive he die by Heracles would he killed with his own hands. In Gilgamesh, Gilgamesh didn’t want to die and he refuses to die. He wanted to be immortal but when he lost Enkidu he realizes that life wasn’t going to be forever and Gilgamesh would die. Many mythologies believe that Humbaba was the Leo goddess and Gilgamesh was the man who would kill him.

Even though Gilgamesh and the Leo goddess had many similarities because of the way they viewed themselves. Gilgamesh still had the mindset of how powerful he was and the Leo goddess was more passionate. Even though they both had this strong or muscular trait Gilgamesh was more powerful and really thought about him a lot but slowly grew a bit of love to his dear friend Enkidu.
